FTI Ontario Trade School in Ontario
The Finishing Trades Institute of Ontario is the only Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development authorized trade school in Ontario for the Apprenticeship program for glaziers, commercial painters and decorators, and industrial painters.
Our goal is to provide first class apprenticeship and health and safety training, and we do so by continuously updating and expanding our training delivery methods and curriculum on trades training in Ontario.
Our training trust fund specifically provides us with the opportunity to improve the vocational and safety skills of our IUPAT members. Trades training is in response to industry needs in Ontario in order to:
- enhance employability,
- facilitate adjustments to technological change, and
- most importantly, keep our members safe and aware of job-related hazards.
